PLYMOUTH'S BLIZZARD OF FEBRUARY 1986.

 Early on the afternoon of  21st February 1986 and a blizzard started over Plymouth. Personally I remember looking out of classroom window and seeing the clouds coming up from Cornwall turning to the dark grey and yellow of impending snowfall and waiting for the call to go home!! I believe the council used the emergency evacuation plan which had the dockyard leaving before others. It failed, as i walked home over the Parkway, 1 single lane of stuck traffic heading down the middle of each carriage way.
